The Hayabusa S-501E is a six-hook sabiki rig that combines coloured mixed yarn with mackerel fish skin in an aurora finish. The yarn adds movement and colour, and the skin gives the shifting, iridescent look of small baitfish, which helps draw strikes from baitfish and larger game fish alike. It uses nickel hooks and heavier monofilament on the main line and branch lines, making it a sturdier choice than the lighter sabiki rigs. It comes in three hook sizes, #10, #12 and #14, all with the same line strengths. Hooks larger than #12 are better suited to a conventional rod and reel than a light sabiki rod.
