HammerHead Katakana Ulua Dry Fit Shirt

Designed and printed in Hawaii on premium UV-protective DriFit fabric, the Katakana Ulua Long Sleeve UV+, Black is part of the world's first tri-lingual fishing apparel series, perfectly representing Hawaii’s blend of cultures and traditions.

The Katakana Series showcases the top six Hawaiian game fish, each hand-drawn in vibrant colors and enhanced with metallic foil ink for a bold and dynamic look. Katakana is a stylized Japanese alphabet, emphasizing Hawaii's deep cultural connection with Japan.

About the Designer: Kevin Sakuda

Kevin Sakuda, the inspiration behind HammerHead Performance Apparel, has been featured on multiple fishing and diving TV shows across Hawaii, Florida, and Japan. Most recently, Pure Talent TV showcased Kevin and his company, HammerHead Spearguns.

Not only an artist and entrepreneur, but Kevin is also a world-class competitive spear fisherman. He won the 2015 US National Spearfishing Title and has since represented the USA in international competitions.

His most memorable catch? A 119-pound Ulua, speared with the very gun that inspired his company. The fish was so massive that Kevin couldn’t even put his arms around it after immobilizing it with his spear!
