The SS116 is a compact, high-flash rig from Hayabusa's Jissen Sabiki 20 (実戦サビキ20) boat series. It combines two different attractors. The first is holographic flash material, whose mirror finish throws a bright, far-reaching glint that draws fish in from a distance. The second is aurora mackerel skin: real saba-kawa with an iridescent coating that shifts colour as it moves and keeps the natural look of a small baitfish up close. Luminous bead accents add visibility in deep or low-light water. At 2.4 m with five hooks, it is deliberately shorter than six-hook rigs, which makes it easier to handle on a short boat rod and simpler to lift aboard when the sea is rough.
